Apple’s AirpPods Pro, AirPods second-generation, and original AirPods have a reset functionality that will return the AirPods to their factory settings. This functionality may come in handy if you sell them at some point or want to reset them back to its original purpose. Learn how to reset AirPods with the following steps.
How To Reset AirPods (Second-Generation and Original AirPods)
Step 1: Make sure your AirPods are in their case and that both of the AirPods are charged.
Step 2: Locate the small button on the back of the charging case. This button is very tiny and matches the color of the case, so just feel around for it.
Step 3: Open the lid to the charging case.
Step 4: Press and hold the tiny button on the back of the charging case for at least 15 seconds. Continue holding until the case alternates from white and amber lights.
How To Reset AirPods Pro
Step 1: Make sure that your AirPods are in their charging case and ensure that the lid is closed.
Step 2: Wait 30 seconds and then open the lid.
Step 3: On your iOS device, go to Settings -> Bluetooth and tap the “i” icon next to your connected AirPods.
Step 4: Continue to press Forget This Device.
Step 5: While the AirPods case lid is open, press and hold the button on the back of the charging case for 15 seconds until you see the lights flashing an amber color.
