How to Search for a Word on a Page in Document Readers

In Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, and other document readers, click the following keys simultaneously:

  • Ctrl
  • F

A blank box will appear either next to your document or at the top, depending on the version. Enter the word or term you’re searching for, and you’ll find it not only on the page you’re reading but also every time it occurs in the document. To end your search, click Esc.

Using Google to Search a Specific Website

If searching the website itself gives you no results, the third way is to type the word into Google followed by the “”.

Say you want to find every occurrence of the word “apple” at the People website. Type this into your Google search: apple

The search results you’ll get will all come from that specific website.

How to Search for a Word Within Your Android Phone

Most Android phones have a built-in search bar. Simply type the word you want to find, and your phone will show you every occurrence of that word within its content.
