About Me

Hi, I'm Julia Borgstrom Kastendiek. My expertise lies in design, patternmaking, textiles, reuse and repurposing clothing and general sewing. My sewing and teaching skills are excellent and I can likely help you with any creative project you are stuck on, technically or otherwise. I learned to sew and could make clothing when I was six. My career started as a patternmaker started after I studied draping in Paris, and was 20 years in San Francisco and Los Angeles. When I remodeled my home and built Tiny Tiki Retro Hideaway, I loved using my architectural and design skills inherited from my parents. Thank you for considering my Sidetrain space! Julia B.
