About Me

Casey Gregory is a versatile and accomplished performer and private educator based in Kansas City, Missouri. Casey began violin later than most, starting at the age of 13. He would go on to graduate from The University of Kansas in 2017 with a degree in Violin Performance on a full-tuition scholarship. During his studies, Casey became concertmaster of both The University of Kansas Symphony Orchestra and the Kansas Intercollegiate All-State Orchestra. Casey dedicated his summers to furthering his music education by pursuing opportunities around the globe. Casey toured Germany to perform both large-scale opera works, as well as small-scale chamber works. Additionally, Casey spent two summers at the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina, studying under Florida State University’s professor of violin, Benjamin Sung. As a passionate and driven performer, Casey has shared the stage with prolific musicians. Key mentions include violinist Sarah Chang, pianist Yefim Bronfman, and former concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra, William Preucil. Casey has performed in masterclasses from artists and groups such as the Shanghai Quartet, violinist Benjamin Beilman, and the conductor of the Boston Pops, Keith Lockhart. Off the stage, Casey enjoys delving into niche genres of music, and enjoys composing and performing arrangements of video game and movie music. Today, Casey is a violinist for the Wichita Grand Opera and a substitute violinist for the Topeka Symphony. Primarily serving as a dedicated music educator, Casey holds a thriving 28-student studio of both violinists and violists. Equipped with an inspirational teaching style and a passion for the craft, he inspires motivation in his students to succeed in their musical endeavors. Casey has successful experience preparing students for high-level auditions and competitions. His students have accolades performing in scholarship competitions, college auditions, all-state and district orchestra auditions, and both Kansas City and Olathe Youth Symphonies.
