About Me
Hi! I'm Jade. My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was eight years old and I was instantly hooked! (Bad pun fully intended.) I've been crocheting ever since and love this art form passionately. I love vintage patterns as well as modern creations. Home decor, wearables, toys... from fanciful and playful to sturdy and practical, the only limitations are your skills and imagination. I can certainly help with the first, and steer you towards building the second. I've written several of my own patterns, so if you need help learning how to read/write patterns in either US or UK terms, I can walk you through the process. I also adore Tunisian crochet and love to spread the joy of different techniques. I've taught art (as well as other subjects) through homeschool co-ops to ages that ranged from 8 years old all the way to adult. I'm patient, but above all I know anyone can learn this fantastic skill given the encouragement to stick with it even when it feels frustrating. Yes, frustration is sometimes unavoidable, but working through that will give you the confidence to tackle anything and I will be right by you cheering you on!
